Copywriter

Tombras, a 400+ person, full-service, global advertising agency with a digital mindset, is seeking a Copywriter for our Creative Department. 
The Creative Department at Tombras is where creative badasses like you get to make stuff. Advertising stuff! Social stuff! Activation-y stuff! Videos, print and digital stuff! Award winning stuff! It’s all very technical and we won’t go into any more detail. But if you’re a person who likes to make stuff, this is the place for you. 
Where you'll be working: Knoxville. Relocation assistance may be provided.

What you'll be doing:

• Work with agency art directors, production, and producers to supervise the production of TV commercials and video content
• Write advertising copy from conception to completion for print, broadcast and online media to promote the sale of goods and services
• Develop concepts and write for social media, TV and radio campaigns
• Write in a variety of styles, when needed
• Responsible for ideating and concepting for national, consumer brands
• Ability to write a tight headline, killer body copy, and viral tweets.
• Collaborating in a respectful team forward way with other creatives
• Can receive and activate feedback and constructive criticism from Creative Directors. Partner with an art director or designer to execute your ideas.
• Outside the box thinking is a must.

What you bring

• A strong portfolio trumps experience & education nine times out of ten but it is a plus if you have 3 - 5 years of ad agency experience, related work experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Portfolio with a strong foundation to build upon (tv, digital, social, print) and evokes emotion and brand voice
• Desire and willingness to learn, grow, and be mentored by senior team members across disciplines
• Ability to recognize creative ideas and see them through to completion
• You have an Independent spirit, entrepreneurial attitude, and a drive for innovation An attitude of positivity and exploration
• You’re a culture junkie who loves a good idea
• Desire to create award winning advertising with a team of highly motivated creatives. Desire to learn from senior creatives and collaborate enthusiastically with junior creatives
